I love it! I’m very passionate about my skincare routine, and Keys Soulcare is amazing. People are leaning much more toward the skin and healing from the inside out. I can go out with just some fresh skin and feel good. I am all about loving yourself as you are while feeling powerful and good enough.
I love to roller skate. It’s a big part of my life. I loved skating for the Firm Belief campaign. Skating is incredibly freeing; it’s my “me time.” I can lock in, play music, and enjoy the moment. Interestingly, I met my partner while roller skating, so it holds a special place in my heart. We skate together all the time. He even customized cowboy boot roller skates for me, which was incredibly thoughtful.
It’s peaceful, chaotic, and gratifying — everything I think work should be. It’s my creative outlet and artistic expression. When I step into my little studio, hours can slip by as I design and create. Sometimes, it feels overwhelming, with a pile of projects waiting to be finished, but the satisfaction of completion is unparalleled.
My morning and night routine mostly stays the same except for sunscreen. My skincare routine generally consists of a very mild cleanser and then a toner. I also alternate with an exfoliating acid two to three times a week. Then I go in with a hyaluronic acid, so I don’t dry my face completely. I’ll seal it in water with rosehip oil and then apply the Firm Belief Peptide Cream and eye cream.
Applying this mantra means waking up and doing a small thing every day. Once you start, you can start doing a lot more. This includes asking for help. This time last year, I couldn’t even get out of bed. My anxiety and depression were at an all-time high, but my brothers and my partner were my support system. Everyone needs help occasionally, and mental health awareness is very important. Talking to someone, including a therapist, helped remind me of my strengths and taught me to lean in when I needed more support. It changed my life for the better!
I’ll be remembered for standing up for what’s right even if people don’t like me for it or it doesn’t sit well with people. Calling things out isn’t always easy when so many things are hush-hush and taboo. I want to empower others to speak up for themselves and speak up for other people. Use your voice because it’s important, and you have one.
