How often do you give your body the credit it deserves? These women take a moment to call out the parts that they love most about themselves.
– KEYS SOULCARE
Reflection. Sometimes it’s an intentional moment spent journaling, other times it’s the literal image in your mirror. Each time we allow our true selves to shine brightly back at us, we have a choice — to honor what we see, or focus on a perceived deficit. Our bodies are the vessels into which we are born, but how often do we say thank you to them?
We’re challenging our friends, and you, to take time to thank a part of your body with this simple prompt:
“My favorite thing about my body is ___________________________________. “
Here are some of our favorite, most empowered responses
“My swimmer’s shoulders and maker’s hands.”
—Marie Louise Winther, VP of Design at Dagne Dover
“My height. I used to hate how tall I was (5’11”), but the older I got, I realized it was such a gift. I could look men in the eye.”
—Laura Jane Kenny, Creative Director at Daily Harvest
“My complexion. I like to believe it’s a beautiful fusion of my ancestors.”
—Tiana Davis, Executive Director at Built By Girls
“My fingers — to me they look elegant and are an extension of my self-expression when I speak.”
—Libby Nicholaou, Founder at Setu
“My hands which allow me to create. And also my eyes as I’m a visual learner.”
—Asha Patel, Founder at Asha Patel Designs
