KITTY GONZALEZ MADE EMPATHY HER SUPERPOWER
Here’s how Kitty went from climbing the corporate ladder to cultivating emotional intelligence.
– KEYS SOULCARE
In a world where societal norms often dictate our paths, lightworker Kitty Gonzalez is a breath of fresh air. From her homeland in Mexico City to her New England roots in Connecticut (and back again), Kitty has ventured outside the lines to be a shining example of what’s possible beyond our so-called “limits.” Through her roles as a life coach, energy healer, co-founder of SVKG Wellness, and Chief Wellness Officer (CWO) at Little Words Project, Kitty has harnessed her intuitive abilities to guide others to fulfillment. In this candid convo, we delve into Kitty’s journey, her unique approach to balancing spirituality with the practical aspects of life, and how she spreads her wisdom both on- and offline.
WHAT IS YOUR PRIMARY GOAL FOR ALL THE ROLES YOU ACTIVATE IN YOUR LIFE?
My primary goal is to help individuals create a life that feels true to who they are — not a life they think might impress others, but a life on their terms. My role as a coach is to help people make the most of their valuable time on Earth.
HOW DID YOUR INTUITION AND ENERGY-HEALING ABILITIES GUIDE YOU INTO THIS LINE OF WORK?
We all possess intuitive and empathetic capabilities; the key lies in strengthening and practicing them. My inherent sensitivity was a guiding force but wasn’t always channeled positively. This sensitivity led me to seek therapy at a young age as I struggled to care for myself. I studied business and marketing with a minor in psychology. There was always a part of me that wanted to go back into deeper connections with people, but instead, I asked, “Will this impress my parents?” I ended up in marketing and product development for six years, but eventually, I got certified as a professional life coach, yoga teacher, and reiki healer.
CAN YOU SHARE SOME INSIGHT ON HOW YOU MOVED FROM A “PRACTICAL” CAREER TO YOUR SVKG?
I met my business partner, Stephanie, when we both worked in marketing. Stephanie later left to become a life coach, and I followed suit a few years later. Despite our corporate roles, we realized the need for emotional intelligence and better workplace communication. This realization laid the foundation for our wellness company, SVKG Wellness.
My professional business and marketing background and coaching skills are instrumental in my current roles. Stephanie and I combine marketing insights with coaching principles to enhance emotional intelligence and communication within brands. This approach ensures companies prioritize their external customer connections and internal team dynamics. By analyzing gaps and infusing coaching techniques, we create stronger brand-to-customer relationships.
CAN YOU SHARE MORE ABOUT YOUR ROLE AS CHIEF WELLNESS OFFICER AT LITTLE WORDS PROJECT?
As Chief Wellness Officers at Little Words Project, my business partner Stephanie and I bring a unique blend of expertise. Our primary focus is collaborating closely with the marketing and product development teams. We create monthly affirmations in tandem with new bracelet releases. These affirmations empower customers to connect more deeply with their bracelets, extending beyond the physical accessory.
A significant highlight of our role centers around wellness festivals. These events are an embodiment of the brand’s spirit and its devoted community. We curate yoga, reiki, and EFT tapping workshops at these festivals, nurturing the mind-body-soul connection. We recently organized an in-store event centered around women’s empowerment, beautifully intertwining Keys Soulcare offerings with our bracelets to create a transformative experience for attendees.
We’re also deeply committed to the well-being of the internal team. This underscores our dedication to nurturing the entire ecosystem of Little Words Project. It’s an enriching journey that encompasses diverse dimensions of wellness and connection.
SPEAKING OF AFFIRMATIONS, WHERE DO AFFIRMATIONS AND RITUALS FIT IN YOUR OWN PERSONAL LIFE?
I’m a reiki healer and a yoga teacher, but most importantly, I’m a human. And honestly, I rely on these tools more than anyone. Affirmations remind me of my purpose and goals, helping me realign with my center. They keep me focused on what I’m working towards and counter negative self-talk. Rituals, on the other hand, provide grounding and renewal. The biggest ritual in my life is slowing down and getting in touch with my physical body through yoga or skincare. I love incorporating affirmations into everyday actions, like washing my face with the Golden Cleanser, to make these rituals more meaningful.
WHAT IS YOUR HIGHEST VISION FOR YOURSELF MOVING FORWARD?
My ultimate goal is to strengthen my love and acceptance for myself. As a coach, I aim to help others love themselves more deeply, and I’m committed to continuously practicing this in my own life. My vision is to embody empathy, wisdom, and non-judgmental love, striving to be a strong source of support for others.
