To honor their recent 12-year anniversary, here’s a look back at our fave moments.

Our favorite power couple just celebrated a major milestone: Alicia and Swizz married in the summer of 2010 and have been thriving for the past dozen years. While both of them lead their own successful careers, they are never shy about the influence they hold on one another. Their devotion to being nurturing parents, artists, and lovers is enough reason to feel inspired by the pair. Today, we’re giving a digital toast to their 12-year anniversary by dropping a dozen moments the two had us falling head over heels.
1. Alicia’s IG anniversary post
There’s no better time than the present — and Alicia’s adorbs shoutout to her hubby had us teary-eyed. Alicia shared a throwback black and white image from their wedding album with a loved-up letter.
“We set each other free,” Alicia shared. “We love each other with open arms and an open heart. We love each other just the way we are and we grow together even in our different ways and directions.”
2. Swizz drops this NOTED gem
Alicia’s YouTube series gives us an intimate look at all things AK. In episode three, Swizz makes an in-depth appearance as they reflect on their romantic and professional relationships. When it came to balancing partnership and career within the music industry, Swizz had this to say:
“We’re not competitive. We just have two whole different lanes. We’re not even trying to occupy the same lanes. That works really well for us…”
3. Communication is the key to their success
In an interview with Marie Claire, the couple shared that their marriage magic comes from one simple source: communication.
“We have this method my wife came up with, where I speak or she speaks, and then we repeat what each other says so it’s understood,” Swizz told Marie Claire, “We haven’t ever raised our voice to each other.”
4. Swizz being Alicia’s biggest fan
When Alicia opened her world tour in Birmingham, UK, Swizz, alongside sons Egypt and Genesis, cheered Alicia on. In this post-show video, Swizz greets Alicia backstage, beaming with pride.
“All I can say is wowwwwwwww! Just when you thought you’ve seen it, all you’re reminded that greatness is timeless! My wife is 1 of 1! None before and none to come!” Swizz captioned. (And, for the record, we could not agree more.)
5. This sunset backdrop
It’s the simple things when it comes to these two. In this priceless photo dump, Alicia gives us a glimpse of her life, including this gentle reflection on intimacy.
“Feeling safe in someone’s energy is a different type of intimacy,” she wrote. ”That feeling of peace and protection is really underrated.”
6. Alicia and Swizz at the 2022 Met Gala
For the 2022 Met Gala, Alicia and Swizz were in a New York state of mind. The two hit the carpet in full NYC swag, courtesy of Ralph Lauren. In this sweet clip, they stop to marvel at each other’s swag.
“This is called ‘lights out,’” Swizz joked, giving Alicia’s fresh fit a 360-degree spin and kiss of approval.
7. Spoiling each other with skincare.
The couple that soulcares together, stays together. Alicia and Swizz rummage through throwback photos and exchange stories in this video. Alicia treats Swizz to a Promise Serum facial and a few belly laughs.
“Isn’t it so beautiful how the simplest things can be the most special?” Alicia inquired. “Love is my favorite ritual.”
8. Swizz and Alicia getting lost in the Black Forest
In this hilarious IG post, Alicia and Swizz go seeking a waterfall during Alicia’s stop in Germany. Despite her concrete jungle roots, Alicia is embracing the adventure while Swizz finds himself needing a little more convincing.
“The hubby doesn’t really love my expeditions,” Alicia laughs, “No one’s coming to get you, babe…except me!”
9. Their Juneteeth + Father’s Day celebration
Short but sweet, this clip of Alicia and Swizz celebrating Juneteeth is a glimpse into the silliness that’s at the heart of their friendship. Decked out in matching pink colors, the two are a true reflection of being unbothered.
“Salute to liberation, love, and beautiful fathers,” Alicia dropped in the caption to sum up the mood.
10. Balancing blended families
Every minute of this episode of Million Dollaz Worth Of Game is worth digging into, but when Alicia and Swizz were asked about balance in their parenting, Swizz immediately gave props to Alicia for holding down the fort.
“She balances out our whole ecosystem,” Swizz said, “And this is not just for the kids we have, it’s for all of the kids we have. My kids with her and my kids without her — they all get treated the same way. And that’s actually what made me really fall in love with her. The way she treats my kids like they all came out of her body. Balancing a blended family is something that is not an easy task, but her showing her love and passion and making that seem easy. She always puts our kids first.”
11. Sharing a love of art
Did you catch Alicia and Swizz’s Architectural Digest tour? In an exclusive inside look at their home, Alicia and Swizz let us into their eclectic collection of art and oceanside views in La Jolla.
“We do own the largest collection of Gordon Parks and so we’re very proud of that,” Alicia boasted during the interview, speaking to one of the many featured artists in the impressive collection. “It’s thought-provoking and I think we love to do that with the art.”
12. Best of Me
Alicia doesn’t hold back—especially when it comes to her music. When she released the “Best of Me” music video, which starsSwizz, she had us swooning. The visual opulence and lyrical genius of this record speak volumes about the love the two share.
