– KEYS SOULCARE
On February 10th, Giants: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys opens at the Brooklyn Museum. As “artists supporting artists” and NY-natives, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz are bringing soulcare back to where it all started and are, for the first time ever, sharing their vibrant personal art collection with the world.
Featuring over 100 pieces from legendary artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Lorna Simpson, and Kehinde Wiley, Giants showcases works by Black creators as part of the Brooklyn Museum’s commitment to expand and challenge the existing art history narrative. Alicia and Swizz told the New York Times, “The reason why we doubled down on African American art is because people weren’t collecting it.”
As cultural icons themselves, Alicia and Swizz’s personal art collection inspires a fresh dialogue about the state of art, society, and Blackness; the exhibition’s title is a nod to these “giant conversations” that the pieces are meant to invoke. With Giants, Alicia and Swizz are able to help highlight the soulful synergy between distinct artists and art forms that try to make a positive impact on the world through creative expression.
A FEW OF OUR FAVORITES

2. Man in Grayscale (Swizz) by Derrick Adams, 2017
3. Untitled, Miami, Florida by Gordon Parks, 1970
4. Portraits of Alicia Keys + Swizz Beatz by Kehinde Wiley, 2024
Yes, that Kehinde Wiley — the same artist who painted former president Barack Obama’s portrait for the National Portrait Gallery in 2018.
Whether on or off stage, our Goddess-in-Chief always delivers a mind-blowing show — and Giants continues to transcend expectations. Alicia and Swizz’s artistry goes far beyond music, inspiring us to discover our passions and gravitate towards what authentically feeds the soul.
