Here are a handful of our favorite fall rituals to honor our spirits and stimulate our senses.
– KEYS SOULCARE
What’s not to love about fall? There’s something about the slow, colorful slide into quieter and cozier winter months that inspires us to savor every golden hour sunset and balmy afternoon.
Check out six ways to make the most out of the days and nights to come — and fall back in love with fall.
1. Rustle Through Some Leaves
Whether you’re boo-ed up or adventuring in sacred solitude, there’s nothing like wandering while fallen leaves crunch, dazzle, and do their thing all around and beneath your feet. Nature is putting on one of the best shows of the year, so add an awesome playlist and observe the wonders all around you.
2. Spice Things Up
There’s nothing like spice in the kitchen (or a lazy-day latte) during this time of year. Our go-to ingredient: cinnamon sticks. These fragrant and versatile rolls of goodness make everything better, from tea and mulled wine to baked goods. Add them to your favorite seasonal drinks and let the spicy sweetness envelope your senses and taste buds.
3. Find Comfort in Scents
Spicing up your drinks is one thing, but spicing up your space is equally satisfying. Fall scents — by way of candles and diffusers — can bring that cozy warmth of the season indoors, pronto. Among our faves this time of year? Earthy, sweet fragrances like sage, cedar, apples, and cinnamon.
4. Snuggle up With a Blanket
Chilling on the couch with an open window and a cozy blanket very much counts as a fall “activity.” (Btw, engaging your senses in fresh, unexpected ways is always a good idea.) Take in the view, chill with a book and a spiced drink… or just take a nap!
5. Look Up
No, seriously. Watching the sky turn that sharp, true blue that fall brings is majorly calming. There’s some real science behind this, but it’s really just nice to witness and appreciate. Feel free to shamelessly take selfies with the sky — we won’t judge!
6. Break out Your Best-Loved Layers
With falls comes cooler, crisper temperatures. Make the most of them and have some fun with layering up — from trying on a sundress with stockings to welcoming a trusty hoodie back into the wardrobe fold. A new season brings the chance to experiment with new colors, fabrics, and styling combos, and see your wardrobe through new eyes.
