There’s a deep connection between taking care of your body and taking time for yourself.
– KEYS SOULCARE
“Being well… taking care of your body… being mindful and taking time for yourself, can really change your mood and switch your energy around.” — Alicia Keys
Ever felt like a workout is yet another task to squeeze into an already-packed day? We’ve all been there, as seen in this ultra-relatable video series Alicia and celebrity trainer Jeanette Jenkins did for Women’s Health.
“I had an attitude about it, I didn’t want to do it,” Alicia admitted about her previous take on getting sweaty on purpose on the regular. Her own 180-degree change came once she connected the idea of caring for her body to caring for her mind and, ultimately, herself.
Sweating it out is not just in service to your physical self; it’s incredible to see the impact that physical activity can have on your spirits. It all boils down to enjoying the mind, body, and soulcare boosts it can bring.
Here’s to learning to love our workouts — and ourselves — so much better.
